The Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC) is looking for people with disabilities who would be interested participating in a two-part research project being conducted by Microsoft.
Microsoft researchers are conducting a study about how people with disabilities might feel about contributing personal data (i.e. images, voice recordings, and videos) to improve AI applications. Researchers would also like to explore how AI applications may empower users with disabilities and understand the concerns and challenges people might have when sharing data that are necessary to making AI applications a reality. Data gathered from this study will be used to improve the usability and accessibility of future AI products and services.
To be eligible you must:
Have a disability (blind or low vision, deaf or hard of hearing, speaking disability, limited mobility, dyslexia)
Be at least 18 years of age or older
Prefer English for reading and writing
Be a member of the Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC)
Participants in this study will be asked to participate in a 30 to 45 minute interview via video conferencing about their perspective on AI and complete user testing via online survey platform that will include testing the process of uploading data (image, voice recording, and video) and answering feedback questions and take about 45 minute in total. Following study completion participants will receive a $75 stipend for their time and effort.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please use the automated Enrollment Form button at the bottom of this Study #83 information page.
