Do you use video for work or school purposes? Have you ever had a problem creating the video content or accessing information on the video? We are seeking people with various accessibility needs or challenges to provide feedback on their personal experiences with video.
The Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC) would like to invite people with visual impairment, hearing loss or deafness, and difficulties with learning to share their experiences using video in a research study being conducted by Microsoft.
Microsoft researchers are conducting an interview study gathering data on the accessibility and usability of video platforms used for work or school. Microsoft researchers would like to learn more about the experiences of people with varying accessibility needs as they create video content and upload video content, such as meeting recordings, product demos, and lecture videos. Data gathered from this study will be used to improve the usability and accessibility of Microsoft products and services.
To be eligible you must:
Have a visual impairment (blind/low vision); hearing loss or deafness; difficulty with learning (dyslexia or ADHD)
Use video for work and school (not entertainment)
Be at least 18 years of age or older
Prefer English for reading and writing
Be a member of the Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC)
Participants in this study will be asked a few questions about themselves, their technology use, and their use of video platforms. Study participation should take no more than 60 minutes. Following study completion each participant will receive a $50 stipend for their time and effort.
