Do you live in metro Atlanta and have a disability? We are seeking people with disabilities to give their feedback on several accessibility features found on a Smart TV!

The Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC) would like to invite people with disabilities to be a part of a usability study being conducted by Samsung.

In this study, participants will provide feedback on a few of the new accessibility features found on the 2024 models of Samsung TV’s. We would like to learn more about the accessibility and usability of these new features. The overall purpose of the study is to gather data that can be used to improve the usability of Samsung TV’s for people who have disabilities.

 To be eligible you must:

• Have at least one of the following disabilities:

  • Blindness

  • Color Blindness or Color Deficiency

  • Low Vision

• Live in the metro Atlanta area

• Be 18 years or older

• Be a member of the AURC

• Prefer using English primarily for reading, writing, speaking

Participants will be asked to complete a short pre-interview survey and then participate in an hour-long usability test at Shepherd Center. They will be asked to share their feedback by exploring the new features on the TV through a discrete set of tasks. Study participation should take no more than 75 minutes (a 15-minute survey and a 60-minute interview session). Following study completion each participant will receive a $75 stipend for their time and effort.
