The Accessibility User Research Collective is two things at once:

  • A full-service people-centric user experience (UX) research shop that directly connects product designers and developers with people with disabilities.

  • A nation-wide collective of over 1,500 people with a variety of disabilities who provide valuable insights into the accessibility and usability of technology and consumer products we use everyday.

Our Mission

Promote a more inclusive world by engaging users with disabilities in the product and service development process.

The AURC provides commercially sponsored user needs/user experience research services to private, for-profit companies mainly in the consumer technology and consumer goods/services industries. We leverage our expertise in disability, accessibility, and assistive technology and our engagement with communities of people with disabilities to connect product managers, designers, and developers with people with disabilities.
